Elizabeth Ritch manages the CleanGredients program at GreenBlue, a nonprofit organization based in Charlottesville, Virginia that influences business to become more sustainable through thought leadership, education, and collaboration. CleanGredients is a database of market-ready chemical ingredients meeting EPA’s Safer Choice standard, which helps manufacturers of chemical products to source and market safer chemistries and simplifies the Safer Choice certification process. In addition to her work with CleanGredients, Elizabeth contributes to projects within the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, including an upcoming module of the online Essentials of Sustainable Packaging course with a focus on material health in packaging.
Prior to joining GreenBlue in 2016, she worked with Ramboll Environ as an environmental consultant helping companies evaluate environmental risks in the context of business transactions, providing litigation support related to soil and groundwater contamination issues, and assessing compliance with environmental regulations. Elizabeth holds a BA in Environmental Thought and Practice and Physics from the University of Virginia.
